Logos, The US 2016 Way
by Georgevine Moss
OK,
so…since the subject of logos has been touched before on this blog, let’s give
this one a try.
This post on LinkedIn doesn't have very nice things to say about the logo used for Ms. Hillary
Clinton’s campaign. Perhaps one could say the logo as appears on the campaign website looks a bit “hospitaly”, maybe not. Either way, using the same idea,
here’s a modification of the logo.
Bonus
Question: Does going through this list of candidates make you want to go all
House of Cards on them? Or perhaps you'd prefer a Veep version?
If anyone cares, here's a possible analysis of the above logo in bullet points:
- H: obvious, but here's spelled out: the first letter of the candidate's first name; also, representing two strong pillars or / and--if you want to get really creative--the front of the White House
- Arrow: moving in a direction...um, slightly upwards?
- 16: stands for 2016, going for the in-your-face look 16 is written with objects that resemble stars
- in-your-face look: stars and colors that might in a stretched way make one subconsciously think of the American Flag
UPDATE: Here's another
LinkedIn post on the matter. I guess I
fell for the stars, huh?
